Step 01:

Answer a few questions about your sleep. It's free, takes about two minutes, and tells you whether testing is worth your time — before you spend a dollar.

Step 02:

Your test ships to your door. Wear a small finger sensor for two nights in your own bed — it sends your data to your phone while you sleep. No lab, no wires, no waiting rooms.

Step 03:

A board-certified sleep doctor reads your results — you'll know in about a week. Then you'll get on a video call with one of our doctors to go over what they found and what to do about it.

Step 04:

If a custom appliance is right for you, we mail an impression kit to your home. Take your impressions, send them back, and your mouthpiece arrives about two weeks later — with everything you need to start sleeping better.

How it works

Charge it for 30 minutes, slip it on your finger, go to sleep. The NightOwl records your breathing, oxygen, heart rate, and body position all night, and syncs to your phone by morning. Do that twice — that's the whole job. No lab, no wires, nothing strapped to your face. Then your data goes to a board-certified sleep doctor.

What you'll learn

In about a week you'll know three things: whether you have sleep apnea, how severe it is, and what's actually happening while you sleep — how often your breathing pauses each hour, where your oxygen drops, how much of the night you spend snoring, and whether sleep position plays a role. A sleep doctor reads your data first; then one of our doctors walks you through it on a video call, in plain English, including which treatment fits your life. And if you don't have sleep apnea? You'll know that too — that answer is worth just as much.

Common questions

How is this different from CPAP?

CPAP pushes pressurized air through a mask you wear all night. Our treatment is a custom oral appliance — a small mouthpiece, molded to your bite, that holds your lower jaw slightly forward so your airway stays open on its own. No mask, no hose, no machine on the nightstand. It's silent, it fits in a pocket-sized case, and most people adjust to it within a few nights.

One honest caveat: if your test shows severe sleep apnea, CPAP may genuinely be the right treatment — and if that's you, we'll say so and point you to it.

What does it cost?

The at-home sleep test is $59 — that covers the test itself and a board-certified sleep doctor's review of your results. If you turn out to be a candidate for treatment, we'll walk you through exact appliance pricing on your results call, before you commit to anything. You'll know every cost up front — no mystery bills six weeks later.

What if I don't have a diagnosis yet?

That's exactly what the sleep test is for. Start with the free two-minute assessment. If it points toward sleep apnea, order the at-home test — you'll wear a small finger sensor for two nights in your own bed, a board-certified sleep doctor reviews your data, and you'll have a real diagnosis and a plan in about a week.

What if I'm already diagnosed somewhere else?

Then you can skip the test. Book a consultation and bring your existing sleep study — one of our doctors will review it with you and confirm whether a custom oral appliance fits your diagnosis. A lot of our patients come to us exactly this way: diagnosed, handed a CPAP, and looking for something they'll actually use.

Do I need a prescription?

No. You can order the at-home sleep test without a prescription or a referral. If your results show sleep apnea, the diagnosis and any treatment prescription come from the board-certified sleep doctor who reviews your data — that part's on us, not on you to arrange.

How long does the mouthpiece last?

With nightly wear, a custom appliance typically lasts 4-5 years. It's also not a static piece of plastic — we adjust it over time as your treatment progresses, and it's covered for breakage, fit issues, and manufacturing defects through our lab.

Is it comfortable to sleep with?

It's made from a precise impression of your own teeth, so it fits like a retainer — slim, snug, and shaped for your mouth only. Most people stop noticing it within a few nights. No straps, no pressure on your face, nothing attached to you while you sleep. This is nothing like the bulky one-size guards you've seen online — those are exactly what we're the antidote to.

What if it doesn't work for me?

We don't guess — we verify. Within your first week of wearing it, you'll retest with the same finger sensor, appliance in, so we can see it working in your own data. If the numbers aren't where they should be, we adjust the appliance and keep working with you. And if an appliance turns out not to be the right treatment for you, we'll tell you honestly and help you find what is.
